Restore issues. 1

I am running Windows 2000 Server with SP 4 & Legato 6.4.1.

When I try to do a restore of the C drive & the system state I am able to get the C drive completely restored by when it comes to system state, it just says "preparing to recover system state" and just stays there for hours. I had tried this a few times, it just stays there for 3-4 hours and without completing it or without prompting me that its completed. So I have tried this a few times & it still gives me the same screen. I really need to get this server up & restored with the applications asap but I am not able to get past this hurdle. Anyone with any inputs? 605 can you help?

Besides the fact that you most likely meant NW 6.1.4 (6.4.1 does not exist yet), the only issue i can imagine is that the client software you used for recovery is not the same that you used during the backup.

It was just getting hanged and so what I did so just kill the restore & rebooted the machine after the C drive was restored and on reboot tried to restore the system state and it worked. Thanks for your help.

PS. I think you might be right with your answer too. I don't remember when I upgraded the client software on this server. Its possible that might have been the case. In the end it worked, and thats all that matters. Thanks.
