Hi to all,

Problem again on the NetBackup DataCenter version 4.5, I'm a newbabie to this NetBackup Product.

Perviously, I have changed the LTO1 to LTO2 and the NB is not working. Therefore I roll back to LTO1 coz my customer wants to do a restoration of some data.

I have successfully roll back the LTO1 by reinstall the LTO1 driver and run the Configure Storage Devices Wizard in the NB. It successfully detected the Storage.

So my customer did the restoration. Here come the problem :

He was able to finish restoring the 1st media.
But when he carried on with the 2nd required media, the restoration just hang there. I really no idea as I'm totally new to this Product.

Need advices uregntly and if possible any link that helpful to me.

Millon of thanks
Rolman.

it could be that the 2nd tape isn't physically in the robot. to check do a 'vmoprcmd'. if tape isn't present there will be info under heading 'pending requests' at top of screen.

if its none-present, swap a scratch (ie empty) tape out, swap in the required tape. the swap-in and swap-out will need commands that are on this forum, vmchange (out) & vmupdate (in) for example. i won't quote them here as your kit may need different commands.

anyway, one tape is present in robot and inventory is updated - very important after each physical tape change in or out; next do a vmoprcmd -resubmit x, where x is the request number from vmoprcmd above.

Hope that's what you wanted
