Hi,

I am restoring old DLT tapes.

Original back-up has been performed using Arcserve 6.61 - NT4

I am trying to restore using Arcserve 11 - NT ( I set-up another fake server just for this task)

Since there is no database I tried to merge catalog.
However this is not the problem because I would use "Restore from Media Tape"

Problem is this error W3402

Thus arcserve is trying to restore using full path.

(i.e. G:\f:\exchsrvr\DSADATA\dir.edb)

What can I do? Please HELP.

I can't use "restore to orginal location" because it is stacking at some point

Any idea.

Thank you very much in advance!!

My guess this is the key:
The target volume or system does not support files of type: encrypted file and sparse file. (skip)

Encryption is only done via the Client Agent. So my guess is that the backup was done via the client agent with encription enabled and so has to be restored via the client agent.
