Hi guys I hope i can explain this well enough.
We are running Small Business Server 2000 on our server and Backup Exec 8.5. We recently re-installed our server and all users have new Exchange mailboxes with a different domain (different domain to the backup mailboxes we have on our tapes).
My first question is, is it possible to restore contacts and old email from the backup tape to new exchange mailboxes despite them being for a different domain?
If that is possible how do i do it? I have tried running a restore job, selecting the Top of Information store, then selecting Redirect Exchange sets, entering the name of the server and the username of the mailbox i want to restore the backed up data too. But the job fails with the job log reporting
Unable to attach to \\JASVR\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes.
Access is denied.
What am I doing wrong? I wish i knew more about this stuff
Thanks for any help in advance
Aaron
