Restore exchange mailbox

Ok guys i have a problem I did a server upgrade by replicating AD and exchange to a temp server and then reinstalling on the original server. Everything went well except for 1 problem. 1 of my users's mailbox did not transfer all the data over. She has folders that are empty when before she says they weren't. I do have a full backup of the original server but its silly to restore the whole thing because of 1 mailbox. what can i do to restore this one mailbox? will i have to install on another server to restore the mailbox? my server name has changed

You can only restore an individual mailbox if you did a brick level backup.

I have the exchange agent installed. What do u mean by brick level backup? and will i be able to restore the mailbox onto a different server from which it was backed up?

Brick level backup:- where you backup the individual mailboxes as well as the complete Information Store. Then you can restore individual email messages if need be.

If you only backup the Information Store then you can only restore the entire Information Store.

Hey i did do a brick level backup..but will i be able to restore onto a different server? the mailbox?

You should be able to by using the Exchange Redirection option in the restore options. Though I've never done it.
