restore Exchange 5.5 to a test server

Hi, we are planing to migrate Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003, currently we use Backup Exec 8.5 Exchange agent to backup the IS, DS and individual mail box.

1)A lab will setup to simulate the migration, just wondering how we could retore the live Exchange 5.5 system and its mail boxes into the test server under the lab environment.

2)In worse case, since there are only lower than 100 mail boxes, we also prepare to export/import each individual mail boxes into the new server if anything goes wrong during the migration. How could we export the Exchange 5.5 mail boxes to *.pst and import them into either the Exchange 5.5 in the lab or the new Exchange 2003?

is the standard text dealing with 5.5 restore, backup and test environment stuff;

2) ExMerge would do that job for you. Note there are different versions for each version of Exchange.
