restore DB

I have a very large database that I want to restore on a box that has a couple of live DB's running. What effect would restoring this DB have on people using the live databases.

The restore would have no adverse affect apart from you server taking a bit of a performance hit. If it has plenty of spare capacity you users probably wouldn't notice.

Probably advisable to do the restore in a quite period if you can though.
