Hi,
I don't understand the restore by backup media at all.
Example: If I backup SQL db and I want to restore it with r. by backup media, I check the right group then tape and then I choose for e.g. session 1 where the sql backup was done. BUT what destination should I choose?? When I tried network/server/dbasql agent, I got error "E3150 Unable to connect to network drive. DRIVE=\\SERVER\dbasql@MSSQLSERVER, EC=The network name cannot be found.)
Thanks for explanation.

I don't think Restore by Backup Media will work for DB Agent backups.

Hi David,
you think, this only works for FILES restores only? What about exchange restore??

I think the error message above it just because the correct destination path was not given, but regardless I thought that DB Agent sessions need to be restored via the database. The problem being in that it does the restore like it was restoring just plain files, which will not work. DB Agent sessions can only be restored via the DB Agent, and it is not connecting to the agent.

But hey this is not my area of experties so if someone else who is up on DB Agents knows a way to get it to work let us know.
