I have written an app in vb.net that uses a sql server backend

I have installed the software at work

I now need to take a full copy of the database from work and bring it home so that i can make some changes to the system.

i created a backup at work, however i am unable to restore it on my local sql server at home

Is it possible to do this or is there an alternative to transferring the database

Step 1:
Create a new Db in your local server.
Step2:
right Click on the new DB==>All Tasks==> Restore DB
First goto Options Tab and not the path down Restore As and check Force Restore.
Come back to the general Tab
Check ==> From Device==> Select Device==> Add and brwose and locate the backup file . OK.
Agian go back to the Otions tab, you will see a diffrent path at Restore As. Change the Restore AS to the Path you noted down earlier. Make sure your Data file and Log files are correct. Then you hit OK.
It should be it. If you have issue let me know.
