Currently running Exchange 5.5, planning upgrade to 2003.
I have several mailboxes owned by more that one person, that is a Global Group is the owner and people within that group access the mailbox. This is generally not their primary mailbox.

I know when I run ADC is doesn't like more than one person owning a mailbox but what about a group? Since it won't have the same SID, is this going to be an issue?

Thanks for your help.

Won't work.

A mailbox in 2003 is an attribute of the underlying AD account. You can give a group an e-mail address but you can't give it a mailbox.

Best practise for 2003 is to create a placeholder acct, create mailbox, disable acct. and set Associated External Acct. on self to allow it to receive mail and others to access it. Then give the group or users rights to the mailbox.

Thanks.
I can do that for new resource mailboxes but what about the ones that are going to migrate? What can I do to the current "resource" mailbox to not have a migration problem?
