Can anybody tell me why this has suddenly started appearing everytime I boot up foxprodoesn't matter if I say yes or no it still comes up.

Have even uninstalled and reinstalled FOxpro and the service pack but STILL asks me.

Oh running win98 and FOxpro 7.0 SP1

Any ideas why?

Rachel,
Your Fox install thinks that your "FOXUSER.DBF" is located in a directory that doesn't exist. So, when you say "YES", create a new one, it probably creats one in the default Fox directroy, but when you start Fox up again, it still thinks you want one in some old directory. (I've seen this a lot...) What you need to do is go to Tools, Options, File Locations Tab, and check to see where your "Resource" Directory is set to. You can change it to a "Real" location afterword. You should also check any CONFIG.FPW files you might have as well. If your "Default" location (set with SET DEFAULT TO <blah>) is set to some other location, and there is a CONFIG.FPW file there, Fox will try to read it. It may also refernce an invalid "Resource" location. Look for a line in the CONFIG.FPW that says something like:

RESOURCE = C:\FOXDEV\MyDirThatNoLongerExists
Odds are, one of those two things will fix your woes.

Cheers
Thanks,
-Scott
