Hi

Can anyone help me, i have a network with multiple subnets currently all going into same dns server although this will change in near future but i am unable to resolve hostnames from one subnet to the other with out providing complete name (eg pc1.rgm.cu.com) when i would like to be able to just use pc1 on any subnet.

Any ideas

Regards

In your advanced DNS settings in your TCP/IP settings for the network connection on your host machines you should be able to append your domain suffix to the end of any host names. So, if you append rgm.cu.com then when you reference a machine by name such as pc1 then the domain suffix will be appended and pc1.rgm.cu.com will be resolved by your DNS server.
