preserving the files?
I guess you have to zip the whole dir, save it to another location, fdisk, mkfs.ext3, move, unzip.

yes I want to preserve the files.
There's no 3rd part software that can do this 'on the fly'?
I guess I have to save the files, and then change fs and copy back the files.

Be careful by coping, to preserve file-attributes and owner/ group.
