Hi guys, this might be a stupid question but i'm kind of in a crunch here..

the server holding my data store is failing, and failing fast. I've got three other servers in the farm, ALL with users logged on and using them..

I can copy the current store off that server (dsn's and what not) to another server, but can i restart the IMA service on those machines with users on them? Will they be affected if they're already logged on?

To sum it up: I need to move my data store to another server NOW before it dies. I have users logged on and working on the other servers, one of which i plan to move the store to. Will restarting the IMA service affect my users?

Thanks for a quick response!!

Hi Snoots.

I tried this on a test server and my ICA connection stayed up while the service restarted.

However - I would advise caution as my test server has no licenses (and IMA handles licencing as well as many other subsystems)

This post is a few days late as I only just saw your question, hope the servers are OK.

Hi,

Your users won't be affected! We did this just recently with no issues!

Cheers,
Carl.
