I wanted to follow up on the reset system command. There were previous discussions on this topic, but it is now archrived.
We have dual 87XX. Need to know if i do an interchange, will i lose my remote gateways that connect to the 8700?

Reset system I = interchange processors.
Reset system 1 = warm restart
Reset system 2 = cold restart 2
Reset system 3 = cold restart 1
Reset system 4 = reboot
Reset system 5 = extended reboot

Rather than do a 'reset' from the command line, why don't you go in through the web interface. Under the maintenance tab there is a place to do a processor interchange. This is much less dangerous.

Thanks. that is generally what i do most of the time. MOst resets we do are a reset 4.

Anyway, do you know if i do an interchange, will i lose my IP connected remote G700 and G350 sites that connect back to the host 87xx and it's applicable CLAN's?
thx

You should not lose your remotes during a standard interchange.
