Hi everyone,

I did a search for this but I cannot find any information.

I think the company that we purchased the iPECS-100 off has gone out of business. I have been repeatedly trying to get in contact via mobile, land-line and email and have not had a response for a while.

Firstly, is there a way to reset the Administrator password? Unfortunately I was only given an maintenance login and do not have full access to the system. I am hoping there is a simple way to do it without having to do a factory reset and reconfiguring the system again.

Secondly, what is the best way to find another reputable LG company to help me in the future? Instead of trying hit and miss can LG Nortel be contacted directly for any recommendations?

In iPECS the password cannot be reset without resetting the whole system.
What country are you in?

Hi doktor,

I am located in Melbourne, Australia.

I know enough about how the system is configured to be able to reconfigure it myself. The only problem would be timing as we receive a lot of inbound calls (isdn) 24 hours a day.

I would probably have to do it early on a Sunday morning.

At the very least I could take a backup of the system, attempt to reconfigure it, failing that restore the backup.

Fortunately I have been able to get in contact with my maintainer.

He was kind enough to give me the full admin codes for our system.

Hi Kosty

Nice to hear about your success!
I am from Denmark, Europe.
So it is as far away from you, as you can come on planet Earth.

If you took the back-up without knowing the high level password, then by re-storing this back-up, you would not have come further.

The iPECS and ipLDK-24 saves the password in a different way than the other LG PBX'es, where you just reset the database to default value. You, then, need need to re-build and re-program the PBX again, but now you have the higheset level access and password.
