Required field validator with Cancel-button 3

Dear sir/madam,

I have a simple webpage where they can give in a name and then click on the finish-button or on the cancel-button.

the textfield where they can give in a name, can't be empty when clicked on finish. However, when clicked on cancel, it can be empty.

I've added a requiredfieldvalidator, but it also works when clicked on the cancel-button. It should not do this, only when clicked on the finish-button.

How can I accomplish this?
