We are seeing numerous devices within our enterprise network attempting to go to a site referred to as prisioner.iana.org. We Found one issue where a DNS server was incorrectly configured and corrected that but there are still too many outbound requests going to this prisoner.iana.org which seems to be a DNS blackhole server.

What we need is a solution we can't find any information anywhere as to why these requests are being generated and how to stop them.

Any help available out there?

Thank you

Try an ipconfig /flushdns on each server. Good luck.

You might also want to check to see if the machine(s) in question has a local host file and examine it's contents.

It's possible that someone somewhere down the road has changed ip addresses which could cause problems. Any changes on your site?

Prisoner.iana.org is a black hole...

2000 typically doesn't look for prisoner but I know under 2003 server, it does. All you should have to do is set up a reverse DNS on your server...
