Requesting data from old Exch srv after Migration to new 1

where else would/should i look to remove an Exch 2k server
after a migration to Exch 2003 server ??

We have the old Exch 2k still, but havent removed it(uninstalled exch from it yet)
but it is shutdown.

users though are getting "Requesting data" from it
dns somewhere ????

Did you remove it from your exchange site? If not that could be why clients are still looking for it.

not sure how is the "Proper way of removing it"
w/ out hosing something else up
