repository on app server or database server

Is it better to have the repository on the application server or on the database server?

BO Repository are created in Database and hence in the Database Server... App Server is used for different sets of needs...

Does it matter whether the database for the repository is on the same 'hardware' as the BusObj server products?

usually people will have in different machines. If it is forone person, may be in the same m/c.

Database server is better. It's better to not have a database manager on the server with the BO products, but it works. The database software takes up alot of resources that BO wants. If you have a HUGE server, it doesn't matter so much.
