We have Informatica installed on a box call DEV-1 with only one repository(Repository-1). This is our development environment.
We have installed Informatica on another box call TEST-1 with a blank repository also call Repository-1. We use the repository backup "REP" file from DEV-1 and restore it to TEST-1. We encounter the mismatch repository GID error message when we try to run the workflows in Test. Rather than exporting each objects out of the DEV repository as an xml file and then re-import it into the TEST repository - we have close to 900 objects.

Is there a better way to migrate the repository?

Assuming you have version 6.x, just use the repository manager to copy all folders to the new one. You can't use a backup of an existing repo because it has the name hard-coded internally in the database - doh!

One other thing to check - did you change the server connection to point to the test-1 server?
