How do I rename a report without out it getting lost.

You can rename the report in the Project Manager or you can go find the FRX and FRT files and rename them manually through windows explorer (or whatever). If you manually rename the files then make sure that you give the FRX and FRT the same name.

I already renamed the report in the project manager and then when I tried to rebuild the project I got an error could not locate file so I pointed to it and then it put another copy of the report in the project any thougths.

Just remove the old Report from the project, it will be fine.

Yes, Do I need to change that code and then rename the report.

You need to change that code to call the report by the new name before you try to build or compile the project.
