Reportnet:Creation of report using Blank template

HI,

I need to create a report in reportnet from scratch.
for new reports we get options like List,Chart,crosstab and "Blank report.."

I need to use this blank report template and create a new report.

I tried doing it but not able to display any data.
When I run the report the report displays only text fields and no data

Any inputs ,help will be highly appreciated.

Are you adding an appropriate data container to the blank report such as a "List" from the toolbox tab, and then dragging data into the list?

You haven't made it 100% clear what the problem is. Are you getting error messages when you try and add data items into your blank report template, or are the data items being displayed in your report, but not when you run it?
