Reporting from the BE database on version 9.1

I'm in the process of trying to report data from the MSDE database that BE uses but I'm struggling to get exactly what I'm after.

The main things I want to report on are job schedules, and servers being backed up.

I've already managed to report on some of the things I'm interested in (ie job size on a given date & job running time) however I'm not seeing where in the database I can retrieve what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any experience/advice with retrieving data from the database for reporting?

Are the reports in BE any help to you?

I think they are written in Crystal reports - you should be able to open one of them that closely resembles your needs - so you can see where it is pulling stuff from in the db.
