Does anyone know a command in either NT or DOS that will display ownership/permissions of a file? I know you can see it by physically clicking on the file's properties but I need to be able to access it through a TCL script. The DOS "cacls" command does not report back enough information. Thanks in advance if anyone has a suggestion.

Try DumpSec. It is a freeware utility found at that will probably take care of you. This tool and site is an integral part of any NT admins backpack. I haven't played with the scripting tools, but you are supposed to be able to script anything you can do in GUI. Good luck.
