I find that the reporting capabilities is very limited with Symposium, can anyone recommend a company or another method that can help me get information Im looking for.
Type of reporting im looking for is OLAP. Dashboard type reporting.

uSE A thirparty tool like excel or crystal report for this.
AN EXAMPLE:
1) install SCCS client on a PC.
2) Install excel.
3) open excel > go to data> get external data> new database query.

4) There select the DSN as ICCM_Preview_DSN.
5) give the username as sysadmin and give ur sccs password.
6) GO to the agentperformance view and selct the column like agnet name , id, holdtime etc.

7) save the report and format the data.

If you don't have (or don't know how to use) crystal report, or other reporting software, Symmetrics also provides some special reports for Symposium that you can upload to the SMI. But it is very expensive.

Those reports are better than the Symposium provided report. But still, they are canned report that you cannot modified (you can only filter). They may not meet any special needs that are unique to your call center.

Take a look at the link:

What sort of access do you need to extract the data? I want to set up an account for our servers to automatically pull of the reports (either Crystal or Business Objects), but I'd rather not give then full access.
I've tried using excel and some reports seems run ok, others (such as skillset ones) seem to hang.
I've given access for the account to run & create any reports and access to historical stats.
Any ideas?

Stu..

Get an ODBC link to ICCM_PREVIEW_DNS and then use Access to directly access the tables. There's much more info in there than is offered by the standard reports.
