Report With Chinese Characters

I am having a similar issue as thread702-318764 and am having difficulty following those procedures to get a resolution.

My issue: I have just implemented a new Access Db for our company. In the process of converting data, I have had to 'undo' some things my users have stumbled in to resulting in the possibility that records may have been added more than once. Ultimately, I have one field on a report that shows nothing but Chinese characters.

My attempts: I have tried copying the records to Excel then back. I have tried deleting the tables and then pasting back the records. I have tried deleting/creating the table housing those fields and entering test data. Everything results in the Chinese characters!

Any help that is provided would be greatly appreciated!

One more bit of information...When I run a test query to pull back the same information that is present on the report all the data looks as it should. So, something is happening to the data between the query and the final report. I don't have any code running behind the scenes for the report.

I actually figured it out. My problem was that I had a 'Group By' on my report query. Once that was removed, the Chinese Characters disappeared!
