I have a report called "Advertising Analysis" and run/print various named find/sorts using it.

I need to print the title of the report according to the named find/sort on the report, for example "Advertising Analysis - 2002 Brighton" when the named find/sort called "2002 Brighton" is run.

I have over 100 named find/sorts and don't want to have to create a bespoke report to print each of them, as the columns and summaries are identical.

Any ideas?

You can create a variable field, option Text to put in the report header (it will only display a value in Print Preview). Also put it on the starting form to enter the title in it by hand or with a macro; must be in Browse and the field must be in a body panel for it to be updatable.

If a macro you'll have to define one for each report. The macro would:

- Use Set to enter the title in the variable field
- Switch to the report view
- Print Preview
- Find - run the named find
- Sort if required
