Report and subreport printing

I'm a newbie in CR!
Main Report :
for each item which has customer orders
detail qty of customer orders
ItemXXX
order o1 qty q
order o2 qty q2 ...

Subreport
detail of inventory (qty location)
ItemXXX
loc1 qty qInv1
loc2 qty qInv2 ...

How can I print only the Items where total inventory < total orders whith both (inventory and orders) detailed information?

Using data from a subreport to suppress the main report is impossible.

The only way you can do it is to run the subreport twice, once in the gropu header with all sections hidden. Use shaed variables to capture the totals of inventory.

Use this variable to then either suppres the group and subreport or allow to run.

There could be some new method in Crystal 9. It's always worth saying which version you have, because extra capabilities keep getting added.
