Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if you can configure replication between informix 5 and informix 7 ? They will be running on AIX 4.3.3, on two seperate boxes.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi:

I seriously doubt it, although I've never tried it. Replication didn't even exist with version 5. Also, Informix did a complete rewrite between 5 & 7.

You can try using triggers to do this
if you do not have many tables.

I cannot remember if 5 supports triggers tough
maybe someone can confirm
