Hello,
I am using Transactional Replication for the first time. It is on a table that updates often but only single rows, very little data. I'm trying to figure out something about the Log Reader.
Does the Log Reader Stay running? The Push Subscriptions only change to running when a change has been made to one of the Articles as I would expect.
I am not sure if the Log Reader staying running is an issue or not.
Would the Log Reader go to Idle if no changes were being made?
Could someone give me an overview of how the log reader works and what it does?
