Hi,
(Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere)
I have created an Access front-end to a SQL 7.0 server. Links by ODBC and it works fine on the LAN. The problem is that I have remote users who dial into the LAN and the front-end becomes almost unusable as it slows considerably over the phone line.
The problem is caused by one particulary large table that I only use on a read-only basis. I thought that the best solution would be to have a replica of this table held in the front-end. The initial synchronisation delay (table changes infrequently) would be acceptable if performance was improved.
My question is what is the best way to set up the replica on the server and how should it be configured in Access.
Thanks for your time
