A month or so ago I set up and configured a replication between two databases on the same server. It worked fine for weeks/months. However, I went in to check it and for the past week or two, it has been failing with the message “ An exception occurred in the Distribution subsystem”. Many people use the Server so tracking down what has changed is impossible. One thing I do know is I put a password on the user account that owns the schedule.
I have dropped the subscription (pull) and started it again it has not worked. I have ran it from one machine and on the sever and it is still not working. Any ideas
Further to this I have since traced it to the snapshot agent or distribution agent failing. The system fails to make a snapshot. I have created a new replication on the same server, but on differnt databases and this fails too.
Please, Does anybody have an Idea?
