Hi All,

I have been trying to use repadmin to force AD Integrated DNS to synchronise an A record change without having to wait for normal replication cycle. I have run

repadmin /syncall MyDomainController DC=DomainDNSZones,DC=MyDomain,DC=COM

However while testing this it does not look like it replicates any quicker than normal.

Does anyone know if I am replicating the wrong AD partition? If so which AD partition holds DNS A records.

Cheers,
S

Why you tried to select the zone on the other DNS server and select "reload"? I find this works the fastest.

Thanks for your reply. Reloading a zone will not force AD replication so will not help me in this case. Also I need an automated solution.

As an option, you can use the following switches on the command line:"

/force: Overrides the normal replication schedule.

This will verify relication completion to your DCs ...
REPADMIN /SHOWREPS <server name>
