replicated public folders limited to 2gb?

Slightly confused . . .

I installed a second server yesterday, onto which I'm replicating our public folders.

The public info store on the new machine shows the folder resources, and according to the number of messages, it's fully replicated.

But the total K of the folder seem to be limited to 2gb - three of them show this size, whereas on the original server, they're different sizes (up to 3.5 gb).

So what would be missing? I have on the original a folderwith 31,039 messages, and 3,810,561 total K. On the new server, it shows the same folder with 31,039 messages, but 2,097,152k (exactly 2gb - this must be a limit set somewhere).

So I'd like to;

1. take off the limit, but I can't see exactly where it's set, and

2. Make sure the messages that are there are fully replicated - seem there is 1.5gb of 'something' missing!

Thanks as usual in advance.

Have you created an instance of every PF on the new server?

Yes, far as I know - the new server shows all the public folders, shows the same number of messages in each folder, it's just the the big ones report the total size of the folder as 2gb, so I assume that's a limit somewhere, and that unless maybe the original database is fragged to hell, there is something missing.

What I'd like to do is life the 2gb limit, and see what happens - I'm planning to let both servers run together for a week or so before I take the old one out.

That'd explain why I couldn't find any setting for it . . .

Having said that, came in this morning and they've sorted themselves out. They're all synched properly now.

I can't imagine though that it is coincidence that 3 folders stopped at exactly 2gb for 2 days. My guess is that the sizes were being incorrectly reported for some reason.

OK, so thanks for the help, everything looks good now so I'll watch it for a few days then take the old one offline.

PF replication is one of the most frustrating things about Exchange 5.5 - it just has a life of its own, and cannot be dabbled with in the same way the directory replication can.
