Replacing second name with spaces

I have an Access97 table i recived that was supposed to have a firstname column with only firstname but has firstname space and middle name. Is there a way to remove the middle name from the field?

Try an update query using
Left(myField, InStr(myField, " ")-1) -------
"What is your favourite colour?" "Blue! No! Yell"
