I have a win 2000 server with ICS enabled. However I want to setup the server not to use ICS but still enable internet connection to the clients. Is it a case of the following:

1) turn off ICS
2) setup DHCP service on the server with the following settings:
- start IP: 192.168.0.2 end IP: 192.168.0.255
- router: 192.168.0.1
- DNS server: IP: 192.168.0.1
3) Setting up the DNS service on the server, with the following settings:
- setup as caching-only server: forward and reverse lookup zones are empty
4) install RRAS - enable NAT
- what settings do I need to give NAT for this to work?

What have I missed out in the setup above?

Is there any step by step guides on the internet that can show me how to setup the above.

I can no longer use ICS because it does not work with VPN server.

Sorry about the simple nature of this question.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dan
