replacing A1 processor card

On a Dual Processor
Do a full regen.
REG-CODEW;
DEA-DSSM:A1,1;
DEA-DSSM:A1,6;
remove the A1 (bottom -. ) processor from the system
remove the SIM card
Put SIM card in new processor
Put a small piece of plastic like the end of a zip tie/tie wrap to keep the SIM card in place.
Replace processor
When -. on A1 processor card then
Logon
ACT-DSSM:A1,1;
DIS-LSSM; (To see if CDR is working)
The telephony will stay working from the Active/Standby Processors...
If it is a Single Processor System then you will lose telephony
Do a full regen.

the system is dual... the A1 was replaced, but this resulted in the Active processor card switching over to the Standby card. Now the previously active card is down (no LED indication except the LAN LEDs)...
the hard drive is in failure (will not remain In service - shows up In defect seconds after initial activate) --- I have another post attempting to discover a way to pull information from the now only enabled processor card - do you know if this can be done?
the system has an APE in a different building that controls 4 shelfs --- i was once told that this APE contains a backup of the system - do you now if this back up can be used to restore the system after the hard drive is replaced?

No the APE is purely for the function of running the remote shelves if the main processor goes down.
You could try a soft restart
Log on to Comwin
type (in capitals)
RESTART;
That should get it going.
Alternatively you could just remove the hard disk tray and put it back in again, it might kick it back into action.
Is it a 24 hour site like a hospital?
If so then you should not attempt a soft restart or anything else

OK then you will need to get another 'processor box' from somewhere and try starting it up with your CF first,
then if no joy you will have to remove the hard disk from your working system and put it in the test system processor box and try it there.
Do you have a full regen file and how old is it?
