Repeating actions in source code

I am trying to create a command to repeat my code insertion steps at specific locations in my source code in dreamweaver. But I realise the command seems to be limited to actions in the design mode only.

Wonder if someone could teach me how to repeat my code insertion steps at specific locations in Dreamweaver MX?

My steps includes
1) Search and replace for a particular word in the source code.
2) Repeat another 4 times. Each for a different word replacement.

you can change source as well -- just change the drop down menu in find and replace to search source

Hmm... Yes, I did change to source but the History says the action cannot be repeated or saved?

What it says is &quot;This action cannot be undone in documents that are not open&quot; Go ahead and use the find and replace on the source code.

Nop Cheech, it says &quot;Steps with icon crossed cannot be replayed and will be skipped...&quot;

When I looked at the history tab, I see an edit icon that is crossed and hence cannot be replayed or saved.

the fact that fucntion exists does nto guareantee that it can follow human logic

how can it replay someting if the word/code ur looking 4 changes?
Find-Repleace is a one time deal....it can not loop through variables...I guess u could use AutoIt but whats the point....

Guess I wasn't quite clear with the explanation...

Basically, I need to do 4 different search and replace steps in my source codes. And I need to do them in some of my transaction pages and any new pages with transaction. So this is quite tedious and prone to mistake without some automation.


Fyi, the code replacement are added codes for enhancing the generated sql transactions in DW, which weirdly does not handle the dates very well in the case of Oracle. My initial intention was to change DW codes for these sql generation, but they prove too difficult to change! If you are interested, I will be most willing to share these codes with you.
