Hi,

Crystal Reports Version 7.
I have chosen to print the group header on each new page.. I do not want to keep the group together. I run into the following problem. My group header sometimes prints at the bottom of the page without any of the records in the group printing below it (there is no more room on the page). The group header is then repeated on the next page (as it should) and the records follow.

I do not want to have the group header print when no records follow it on a page. How do I suppress the header when this happens?

Thank you.

It has been awhile since I worked with 7 but... There should be several places that you can check "keep together". You don't want to keep together the detail, but you do want to keep together the headers, so I would look for that in the section format (not the group format)

Hi Lisa,

I already have the section for the group header checked for keep together so this will not work. BTW, the group header is only on one line.

Maybe I did not explain my problem correctly. My output is as follows:

bottom of page one:

Mike Ulicki 987-65-4321
Detail Record 1
Detail Record 2
Detail Record 3

Lisa Lynch 123-45-6789 (do not want this to print)

top of page 2:

Lisa Lynch 123-45-6789
Detail Record 1
Detail Record 2
etc.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Chris,

I understand how their solution works by keeping the first detail record and the group header together. However I do not think this will work as I use repeat group header on each new page, so my first record will now be printed on the bottom of the first page and the top of the second. However it gets me in the right direction. I just need to suppress the first record on the second page.

thanks for the link.

Mike
