Repartition Information Store

Greetings,

I was wondering when it would be a good time to repartition offline the information store -- I seem to recall that this is something i should do from time to time.

Also, how do I do this exactly? Has anybody had any problems (i.e. not being able to remount or reopen the store after the operation), what are the risks, etc.

I've not aware of the term "repartition" being an aspect of Exchange

Are you referring to defragmenting the store, or moving the store to a different partition on the hard disks.

Yes, referring to defragment the information store, don't know where I got repartition from ---- finals week plays tricks with the mind.

Online defrag is done daily, unless you have a massive amount of free space in the DB, there is no need to do any thing. I think it's event ID 1221, recoreds the free space in the DB.
