Hi I'm new in the forum but also new in adobe premier
I have a panasonic camera that has digital output so I can upload video to my computer but my question is do I always have to render that material or is there any other solution

thank you in advance

If your video is in a format that matches the Premiere project settings, you should not have to render unless you apply an effect of some kind.

Capturing through FireWire from a DV camera using the capture facilities in Premiere is a good way to get compatible clips.

Capturing MPEG through USB is a good way to get incompatible clips.
