renaming computers in active directory

I'd like to "tidy up" the way in which our server is currently set up, particularly with regard to active directory. Part of this requires me to rename the computers in active directory to something more structured and meaningful...can someone please tell me the best way to do this..just wondering if its fairly straightforward or would there be any repurcussions to look out for??
I cannot see any options for renaming, so would I just delete the existing computer accounts and then recreate them?? Would appreciate any advice

don't forget : if you have static DNS entries, you must delete them as well
and if you have a WINS server, then you could think of that as well... ---------------------------------------------------------------------
