I have to change the Computer Name for my Windows 2000 Server however when I go to Network Identification, I can't click properties to rename. I see a message telling me
"Note: The identification of the computer cannot be changed because: The computer is a domain controller".

Is there an easy way around this or do I have to blow WIndows 2000 away and reinstall it?

You can demote it, then change the name, then re-promote it. If it's the only DC you have your either stuck with it or add a second DC then do the demote/rename.
