If you are using GroupWise 6.0 and up, DO NOT use NWAdmin. Use of NWAdmin for GroupWise 6.x administration can corrupt your GroupWise databases.
FarOut is right. You need to find the user object in GroupWise view and right-click it. Choose rename from the popup menu. You'll need the GroupWise snapins to perform this action.
