renamed the admin account

i renamed my domain admin account yesterday and now i can't log in as that user. i also changed the password. neither of my two dc's will let me log on with that credential.
anyone know what that could be?

Unfortunately, I don't know how to help you out.

i think what is happening is that the admin account is used for my backup exec, and it's still using that service. so it probably requires a reboot to reauthenticate. just a guess. i'll try it at the end of the day.

well that wasn't it. i rebooted both dc's and it won't take the new name/password, although the new name shows up in the start menu.
