Rename media server now backup exec won't start!! - Help

Hello all,

I've just renamed our media server and chaneged the ip address. Now I can't start backup exec 10d

Error 1068 the dependency service group failed to start.

So I decided to try and uninstall & reinstall backup exec. but still no luck, I can't uninstall or reinstall i'm stuck.

My last resort will be to rename the server back to it original name then reboot, try to uninstall backup exec then rename the server back to the new name and try to reinstall backup exec.

Is there any way I can avoid this?.
