We are upgrading the hardware of one of our HP-UX servers and the DLT7000 drives attached to the current hardware cannot be used on the new hardware platform. The old box is staying as as a media server but being renamed.

Current name "hpsis" - New name wil be "oldsis"

Would it be easier to just delete all mention of the drives and reconfigure once the reboot of the box takes place and the name change is there? Other option - can I just go into bp.conf and change server name and change the names in NetBackup GUI for the drive configs and Storage Units?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Just because the VERITAS documentation states something as certain, that does not make it a fact and that is truth.
