I have dual boot on my computer with windows xp and windows 2000. I want to remove windows 2000 and the dual boot. How do I do it?

In Windows XP:

Right click on MY Computer
Go to Advanced
Under Startup and Recovery click Settings
Uncheck the "Time to display boot options" or if you still want the boot options to show you can click the Edit button and remove the entry information for Windows 2000.

You can also open the file "boot.ini" in any text editor and clear out the line(s) for Windows 2000.

The line(s) should look like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect CJ

Don't drink and post, save that for driving home!

Also, assuming win2k on the first partition/drive, you can remove all the folders on that drive (to recover the space), but obviously need to leave the boot sector (with files ntldr, ntdetect.com & boot.ini in the root of it) intact. If 2 partitions on the same drive, and you also want to merge them, that's a bit more complicated (without backing up & doing a complete reinstall of XP). But please post back if you do want to do more than just clean out win2k.
