ow does one get rid of the Voice Mail Box Administration Application VAS entry in the CFN (Option 11C).

I have removed the AL, the ACD agents, and all TN's have had the VMB outted on them, and disbaled the VMBA in LD48. The VAS looks like this:

VAS
VSID 09
DLOP
APPL VMBA
CUST 0
DATA_CORRECT OFF
AUTO_AUDIT OFF

There is no DLOP according to the above, and the CEQU is

CEQU
MPED 8D
SUPL 000 004 008 012
016 032 036 040
044 048 064 068
072
XCT 000
CONF 029 030 031 062
094 095

I don't see the card 10.0.00 anywhere in there, and when I stat it the reply is unequipped

I do the following

REQ CHG
TYPE VAS
VAS OUT
VSID 9

SCH6311

The above error message being defined as

SCH6311
The VAS block cannot be removed because the application is configured.
Severity: Info

Where else is this critter configured?

i've had opt 11's do me that way before, that is the edge or corruption unless their is a command i haven't seen. (their are lots of them, i'm sure).. it may just need a ini after the cequ change. some files are not dynamic so they work more like the old dos config.sys.. worth a try if your an 8 to 5 business

I can do a remote INI can't I. I forgot where at, but I used to do those.

Ha! I <enter your favorite expletive here> found it!
You <CR> through the DLOP, and AML prompt, and when it says
APPL OUT VMBA
then go back through the VAS and delete the VAS ID
I hate that! It worked just fine

I have a similar issue with an option 11 that we migrated from MM to CP. However when I try to out the VMBA appl, it returns a SCH6321, which states that there are still VMB's configured. How do I find which sets it is looking at and can I delete them on the PBX side without them being removed in the CP?

Well first, the VMBA is only going to attempt administration via the AML assigned if I'm not mistaken. And unless Call Pilot is using an AML these days (I'm not aware of it) instead of the ELAN there is no Voice Mailbox Administration via the switch based VAS.

So find out what AML was being used this way:

LD22
REQ PRT
TYPE VAS

VAS
VSID 08
DLOP
AML 08
APPL VMBA
CUST 0
DATA_CORRECT OFF
AUTO_AUDIT OFF

This will let you identify the VAS number, and AML number (both 8 in the example above, but they aren't always the same). If DATA_CORRECT is already off don't worry about anything getting changed.

Go to LD48 and disable the application, and the link:

DIS VMBA 8
DIS VMBA 8 AUDT
DIS VMBA 8 UPLD
DIS AML 8

Now, you for sure cannot delete anything via the VMBA. Go to LD20 and do

PRT
VMB

This will give you a list of all DN's with a VMBA record, and their audit status (which you don't care about). Reprogram each DN except respond with OUT to each VMB prompt, i.e.

REQ: chg
TYPE: 3904
TN 20 0 14 4
ECHG YES
ITEM KEY 00 SCR 1269
HNT FNA
MARP ON TN 156 0 00 06
MARP
CPND
VMB OUT <--- Note:this is where you respond with OUT
KEY
ITEM

After each of them are clean you should have no further DN's reported by doing a LD20, PRT, VMB. Then you can remove the AML (LD17, CHG, ADAN, OUT AML <whatever your AML number is>)

Then do the exercise above to get rid of the VMBA application, and delete the VAS ID. My 11C is so clean running right now. It's so quiet. :)

That's pretty much what I did yesterday. About 56 tn to change. But now it's happy with no MM reference.
Thanks for the help.
